Leadership

Develop leaders around judgment, execution, change, communication and people decisions.

Aly Abdelaziz Perspective
Start with the business problem. Diagnose the system before choosing an HR intervention. Then define the decision, action and evidence of impact.

1. The practical question

What business outcome is this topic expected to change? A useful HR design should make the chain visible: Business → People/Work → Diagnosis → Intervention → Decision → Impact.

2. What to examine

1

Context

Strategy, operating model, workforce, constraints and stakeholder expectations.

2

Diagnosis

Separate symptoms from root causes and test assumptions with evidence.

3

Design

Choose the smallest intervention capable of changing the target outcome.

4

Measurement

Define baseline, target, owner, frequency, data source and decision rule.

3. Implementation sequence

  1. Define the business outcome and the decision that depends on it.
  2. Map the current process, capability or behavior.
  3. Identify the highest-impact gap and its likely root causes.
  4. Select an intervention and assign ownership.
  5. Measure leading and lagging indicators.
  6. Review the evidence and adjust the system.

4. Where AI can help

AI can accelerate research, pattern detection, content generation, scenario analysis and decision support. It should not automatically own high-stakes people decisions. Human judgment remains explicit in the workflow.
